Spongebob's Episodes
Season 1 :

  • "Help Wanted"

A narrator with a French accent introduces SpongeBob SquarePants, a sponge who lives in a pineapple in the city of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob’s foghorn alarm clock rings, waking him up in the morning. He tells his young pet, Gary the Snail that he must be in good shape because this particular day is very important. He jumps off of his diving board and lands in his pants. He goes to his exercise room and lifts a bar-weight (which is actually two stuffed animals). Afterwards, SpongeBob exclaims that he is ready.
He runs outside and down the street to the Krusty Krab, repeatedly saying, “I’m ready” while his neighbor and best friend, Patrick Star, cheers him on. SpongeBob sees the “Help Wanted” sign on the Krusty Krab window. He then declares that he is ready to obtain the job, which he has been dreaming of for years; however, he loses his confidence. Patrick convinces him to apply for the job, and so SpongeBob does, thereby declaring he is ready three more times. Squidward Tentacles, the head cashier, is cleaning the window (above his head the word “loser” is written on the glass pane). Squidward sees that SpongeBob wants the job, and so he tells the restaurant owner Eugene H. Krabs that SpongeBob does not qualify for the job. SpongeBob walks into the Krusty Krab and asks for the job. To get rid of him, Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that he can join the “Krusty Krew” if he passes a “test”--which is to obtain a “Hydro-dynamic Spatula with Port and Starboard Attachments and Turbo-Drive”.
As soon as SpongeBob leaves, five buses drop off a large crowd of hungry anchovies. They barge into the Krusty Krab, demanding Krabby Patties. Attempting to keep things in order, Squidward complains about their behavior, and then requests that there be a single-file line in front of the cash register. But the anchovies vehemently protest, forming a riot of angry anchovies set to resemble a stormy sea. This forces Squidward and Mr. Krabs to climb up the “mast”. Thinking that it is the end for them, they say their goodbyes. Suddenly, SpongeBob arrives, flying by with his “Hydrodynamic Spatula with Port and Starboard Attachments and Turbo-Drive” (according to SpongeBob, the Barg’n Mart only had one in stock). Mr. Krabs is flabbergasted at the fact that SpongeBob actually passed the “test”. SpongeBob flies into the kitchen and as fast as he can, satisfies the needs of the angry anchovies. SpongeBob made a Krabby Patty before he was hired and it is assumed that he did not know the Krabby Patty secret formula.
When the last anchovy gets their Krabby Patty, Mr. Krabs is delighted. He hires SpongeBob, by welcoming him to the Krusty Krew and giving him a name tag. Then, Mr. Krabs calls for three cheers for SpongeBob. Even though Squidward is upset, Mr. Krabs does not listen to him because he wants to go and count the wheelbarrow of money he just made in his office. At the end, Patrick walks in and asks for a Krabby Patty. SpongeBob flies into the kitchen and makes a huge stream of Krabby Patties, which then hits Patrick and sends him flying out of the restaurant. Worried, Squidward calls Mr. Krabs to come see his new employee.

  • "Reef Blower"
The episode starts out when Squidward walks outside and sees a shell on his front lawn. He believes that it ruins the appearance of his lawn, so he "accidentally" kicks it onto SpongeBob's lawn. Suddenly, SpongeBob pops out of his window and sees the shell. He also believes that it ruins the appearance of his lawn, so he gets his "reef blower" (an underwater version of a leaf blower) out of his garage. He turns it on, much to the annoyance of Squidward. Squidward plugs his ears and SpongeBob struggles to blow the shell away. After failing attempts, he frustratedly blows a large column of sand onto Squidward. To fix this problem, SpongeBob blows the sand off, which irritates Squidward's eyes. SpongeBob peers over at his sidewalk and sees a pile of sand. A subtitle "You" appears as SpongeBob points at the pile. He then sucks the pile of sand into the reef blower, which malfunctions. The sand and a few mechanical gears blow out. So, SpongeBob unzips the reef blower and puts them in himself. The reef blower sneezes. When the reef blower refuses to start, SpongeBob pulls the cord to an extreme distance and before finally starts. However, this causes it to suck in all of the water in the ocean. The reef blower then explodes, returning the water and leaving piles of sand all over Squidward's lawn, while SpongeBob's lawn is perfectly clean. Satisfied, SpongeBob get's out of a pile of sand and then goes back inside, while the shell lands on Squidward's nose.

  • "Tea at the Treedome"

The episode starts out with SpongeBob SquarePants jellyfishing in Jellyfish Fields. Suddenly, he spots a young girl wrestling with a giant clam. He takes out his field guide book, and identifies her as a 'land squirrel'. SpongeBob thinks that she is in trouble, and goes to wrestle the clam himself. The squirrel manages to escape the clam, but SpongeBob ends up inside of it. The squirrel then rescues SpongeBob, and throws the clam out of the area. SpongeBob introduces himself, and the squirrel says that her name is Sandy Cheeks. SpongeBob inquires about the helmet she wears, and Sandy tells him that it's her air helmet. SpongeBob does not know what air is, but does not tell her this, instead saying that he loves air. Sandy, surprised that SpongeBob is fond of air, invites him to her 'Treedome' for "Texas tea" and cookies. SpongeBob quickly runs over to his best friend Patrick Star and tells him everything that happened. Patrick tells him that 'putting on airs' is fancy talk. He then tells SpongeBob if he wants to be fancy, to hold his pinky finger high above him.
When SpongeBob arrives at Sandy's treedome, Sandy is in a bikini, since she does not need her air helmet inside. SpongeBob goes inside, and notices that the water level drops. He panics, and tells Sandy that there is no water. She tells him that, yes, it's just air. SpongeBob says that there isn't any problem and tries hard to breathe. He does not realize that sea creatures need water to survive. Sandy gives him a tour of her treedome, showing him that she has an oak tree, a bird bath, and other things. During this, SpongeBob quickly sneaks over to the bird bath, which is filled with water; he now knows he needs water to breathe properly. SpongeBob gives Sandy some flowers, and she decides to get a vase for them. Meanwhile, Patrick, watching from outside the treedome, tells SpongeBob to keep his pinky finger up. Sandy comes back and puts the flowers in a vase, filled with ice cold water, on the picnic table. SpongeBob tries to resist drinking the water while Sandy goes to get the tea and cookies. SpongeBob eventually gives in, drinks it, and runs for the door, declaring that he is a quitter. Patrick, thinking he is being shy around Sandy, enters the Treedome and tries to convince him to stay. After a moment Patrick realizes that there is no water. The two struggle to get out of the treedome, but are unsuccessful. When Sandy comes back, she screams as she spots both Patrick and SpongeBob dried up on the grass. She helps them by giving them water-filled helmets. In the end, Sandy proposes a toast to new friends, and they drink their tea. SpongeBob and Patrick drink by gulping the tea-filled water in their new helmets, with their pinky fingers pointing up.

  • "Bubblestand"

SpongeBob walks outside and admires the peacefulness of the neighborhood. Suddenly, he loudly begins to make a stand where people have to pay 25 cents just to learn to blow bubbles like he does. It wakes up Squidward, who demands SpongeBob to be quiet. Patrick comes out and then comes to the stand and asks to try it out and Patrick only buzzes his lips instead of blowing and fails so he requests SpongeBob to teach him for an extra quarter. SpongeBob says that he blows bubbles in a technique and when he shows Patrick he blows a duck bubble, an ice cube bubble, a caterpillar bubble, and a boat bubble.
Then, after all the bubbles pop SpongeBob then uses two hands causing him to blow Bubblephant (Patrick calls it a "Giraffe") which flies into Squidward's house and pops in the house causing an explosion. Squidward is enraged and comes out and asks why they are just making so much noise just blowing bubbles. SpongeBob shows him the technique and he blows a butterfly bubble but Squidward angrily rejects SpongeBob's ideas and shoos SpongeBob and Patrick back into their houses in embarrassment. Squidward begins to blow a bubble out of curiosity, but SpongeBob and Patrick return to ask payment. Squidward then has to give them 25 cents for the bubble.
Squidward then attempts to impress them with his technique, but instead fails, with each bubble falling to the ground. While Squidward still attempts to blow a satisfactory bubble (and, as a result, spends more money with each bubble he blows), SpongeBob and Patrick try to convince Squidward to use the technique. Finally, Squidward, furiously (though without realizing it) copies their technique in an attempt to mock them. However, he blows an enormous bubble. SpongeBob and Patrick then congratulate Squidward, saying that he is "amazing" and that his bubble was the best. Squidward thanks them sarcastically and leaves, walking back into his house. He begins to play his clarinet, with SpongeBob and Patrick chanting his name. However, the gigantic bubble floats and traps Squidward's house inside it, unearthing it, and sending it up in the air.
SpongeBob and Patrick try to warn Squidward, but Squidward thinks they're still chanting him and keeps playing, thinking he is "amazing". When he looks outside, he sees him way way above the ground with SpongeBob and Patrick specks from the ground. The bubble then pops, sending his house back to its original area, albeit with much force. SpongeBob and Patrick look at each other nervously and they retreat to their houses before Squidward could scold them.

  • "Ripped Pants"

The Narrator introduces Goo Lagoon, a popular beach in Bikini Bottom, where SpongeBob and Sandy are playing. SpongeBob puts on a show by making sand sculptures such as him covering himself in sand and calling himself, "Sandy.", acting like Squidward, and as a Pizza Deliveryman who says, "Here's an order of 25 Sand Pizza's, which makes Sandy laugh. Larry the Lobster comes and asks if they want to lift weights, which Sandy quickly accepts, while SpongeBob mopes behind them. When they arrive at the weight lifting area, Sandy lifts a bar weight and the crowd cheers. SpongeBob tries to get them to do something else, but Larry continues. He lifts a bar weight with six weights and the crowd cheers. Attempting to impress the crowd, SpongeBob lifts a stick but the crowd falls asleep. Sandy then lifts two anchors and is cheered. Larry then lifts the entire audience and bleachers, and once again the crowd cheers.
SpongeBob is left out, and tries to get more attention by lifting a stick with marshmallows on the ends, which he actually struggles to do. However, he accidentally rips his pants in the process, and the crowd laughs hysterically. Feeling embarrassed, SpongeBob sadly leaves the weight lifting area, as the people continue to laugh at him, until one fish compliments him for the good laugh. When Sandy agrees, SpongeBob decides to use this to his advantage. He rips his pants again while playing volleyball, then while playing frisbee. SpongeBob and Sandy then proceed to get some ice cream, where he again uses his ripped pants joke. He gets carried away and uses the joke at the snack bar and a kitchen.
While at the surfing competition, SpongeBob rips his pants while surfing, which bores everyone. Realizing this, SpongeBob pretends to drown. When he washes up on the beach, a crowd gathers around him. He tells the lifeguard that he needs a tailor, because he ripped his pants. Everyone gets upset and leaves, including Sandy.
He attempts to revive the joke by ripping his entire pants off, but it fails. After he realizes that he has driven all his friends away, he asks himself if he is the biggest loser on the beach. This question is answered by three other beachers, who each believe they are the biggest losers on the beach: one who forgot to put on sunscreen, one who got sand in burger buns, and a whale who was buried in the sand and forgotten. They ask SpongeBob what happened to him, and he tells his story through a song. Everyone on the beach hears his song, and understands how he feels and that he apologizes. Sandy tells SpongeBob that if he wanted her to be his friend, he should have been himself. Larry asks him to sign his pants, and SpongeBob accepts. He bends down to sign, but his underwear rips off completely, and SpongeBob blushes in embarrassment.
Song
Ripped Pants
When I ripped my pants... (tear)

I thought that I had everybody on my side,
But I went and blew it, all sky high.
And now she won't even spare a passing glance,
All just because I ripped my pants.
When big Larry came 'round just to put him down,
SpongeBob turned into a clown.
And no girl ever wants to dance,
With a fool who went and ripped his pants.
I know I shouldn't mope around and I shouldn't curse,
But the pain feels so much worse.
'Cause winding up with no one is a lot less fun,
Than a burn from the sun or sand in 'yo buns.
(shakes)
Now I learned a lesson I won't soon forget, (soon forget)
So listen and you won't regret. (Ohh!)
Be true to yourself, don't miss your chance (miss your chance)
And you won't end up like the fool who ripped his pants.
(tear)

  • "Jellyfishing"
A jellyfish swims by SpongeBob's house, where SpongeBob and Patrick observe it out through a telescope. They prepare for jellyfishing, but then meet Squidward and ask him if he wants to join them. He refuses and decides to go bicycling instead. SpongeBob asks Squidward if he can join them next time. Squidward says yes and goes off. Unfortunately, while he is bicycling, he has an accident (involving a jellyfish) and is wheelchair bound. SpongeBob and Patrick decide that what Squidward needs is a "Best Day Ever" jellyfishing expedition but when Patrick fails to put a jellyfishing net in squidward's cast covered hand he stabs it through squidward's palm. He is not into it at first, but when a jellyfish stings him, he goes after it for revenge. He manages to catch the jellyfish, but in doing so angers a queen jellyfish. The queen jellyfish chases after him, attacking him with an extremely massive sting. The next day, SpongeBob and Patrick meet outside Squidward's house, and attempt to give a now life-support-bound Squidward the jellyfish that he caught the previous day. Squidward, still mad, opens the jar and lets the jellyfish attack SpongeBob and Patrick. As Squidward laughs, the royal giant discovers him and stings him, destroying his life-support. A completely blackened Squidward can only say, "Ow."
  • "Plankton!"
At the Krusty Krab, Squidward gives SpongeBob an order for a Krabby Patty. After making the patty, it begins to "move" and makes its way towards the front door. Mr. Krabs pulls Plankton out of the burger and sends him back to the Chum Bucket. Krabs explains that Plankton is his arch-competitor, and has been trying to steal the Krabby Patty's secret formula for years.
That night, after the Krusty Krab closes, Plankton tries to convince SpongeBob that he and the fry cook are friends, and that as such SpongeBob should give him a Krabby Patty. SpongeBob refuses and runs back home, but Plankton promises that SpongeBob will "hand deliver it to (him) personally."
Later that night, Plankton enters SpongeBob's head through a pore and makes his way to SpongeBob's brain. He attaches a mind control device to the brain and bends SpongeBob to his will, forcing him to walk to the Krusty Krab, get a Krabby Patty, and bring it to the Chum Bucket's Laboratory.
Plankton shows SpongeBob his computer, which can display the components of whatever he places in a nearby bowl. Before he can force SpongeBob to drop the Krabby Patty in, SpongeBob begins a sorrowful ode to the Patty describing its tastiness. A hungry Plankton leaps onto the burger, bounces off its bun and falls into the bowl, and says "Oh Boy!" before being absorbed by the device. The computer displays his components (1% evil, 99% hot gas) on the computer screen. With Plankton stuck inside the computer, SpongeBob walks back home.
  • "Naughty Nautical Neighbors"
Squidward has made a very good soufflé, but SpongeBob and Patrick's laughing distracts him from enjoying it. Squidward sees they're having a private conversation with bubbles. They whisper a message into the bubble wand instead of blowing into it, and when the bubble pops, the message can be heard.
Annoyed, Squidward makes bubbles of his own, imitating SpongeBob and Patrick, but insulting them both. Thinking the bubbles are from each other, SpongeBob and Patrick become angry and get into a fight, eventually declaring that they are no longer friends. Squidward comes outside and eats his soufflé while laughing, but in doing so chokes on the fork. Patrick saves his live by performing CPR on him, and becomes Squidward's friend. Inside Squidward's house Patrick falls asleep while Squidward plays a composition called "Solitude in E Minor" on his clarinet, and Squidward pulls him outside. While doing this, he sprains his back, and SpongeBob sees this as an opportunity to help him, and bumps Squidward's back and thus becomes Squidward's friend.
Inside, SpongeBob plays a song (badly) for Squidward on his doublebass (which he thinks is a bassinet), and when Patrick appears in the window and interrupts the song, SpongeBob destroys the instrument in a fit of rage, and Squidward kicks him out. Squidward then tries to take a bath, but Patrick is in the tub. SpongeBob appears in the window and sees this, and he and Patrick begin arguing again, driving Squidward crazy.
Squidward decides to invite Patrick and SpongeBob to a dinner party (without telling either of them that the other is coming) in order to repair their friendship. When they arrive, they are still mad at each other. Squidward tries to get them back together, but the situation devolves into a competition to see who can drink the most soda and thus become Squidward's best friend. Squidward runs out of soda and leaves to get some more. While he is gone, SpongeBob and Patrick, who have become literally inflated from all the soda, begin to hiccup small bubbles that make a burping sound when they burst. They find this amusing and become friends again, but they create so many bubbles that Squidward's house explodes. Squidward orders them out and slams the door, which then falls over on him, moaning Oh, my back'. as the episode ends.
  • "Boating School"
It is the day of SpongeBob's driving exam at Mrs. Puff's Boating School, and he is very excited. If he passes it, he will get his license. Once there, he throws his unicycle away, assuming he will pass. Having taken the oral exam thirty-seven times previously, SpongeBob is able to answer the questions before they are even asked. However, upon reaching the driving portion of the exam, he panics and quickly crashes into a lighthouse, causing Mrs. Puff's body to inflate. Later that night, he complains about his failure to Gary, who asks SpongeBob to go for a walk, which he declines. Patrick is then heard talking to him from a walkie-talkie under his bed covers. SpongeBob heads into his closet and finds Patrick with a "surprise", wearing his clothes and calling himself "Patrick SquarePants". SpongeBob is too depressed to laugh, and explains his problem to Patrick and mentions that he needs someone to help him think straight during the exam. Patrick quickly devises a plan. He puts a walkie-talkie inside SpongeBob's head so that he can talk SpongeBob through the test, hiding the antenna with a cowboy hat.
The next day, SpongeBob goes back to take the test again. When asked to start the boat, he initially panics, but Patrick's instructions keep him calm. This is followed by a video montage of SpongeBob acing the exam, interspersed with shots of Patrick eating SpongeBob's food and reading his diary while helping him. Mrs. Puff is floored by his sudden improvement and jokingly suggests that SpongeBob's success is due to an antenna under his hat through which "some guy miles away from here is giving (him) all the answers." SpongeBob (and Patrick) finds this hilarious, until Mrs. Puff concludes, "But that would be cheating!" Upon realizing that he has been cheating, SpongeBob goes into hysterics, driving wildly all over the course and sobbing while Mrs. Puff tries desperately to stop him. Patrick, upon hearing this, runs out of SpongeBob's house and jumps under his rock, SpongeBob crashes the boat and fails the test, and the inflated Mrs. Puff is taken to the hospital. As he leaves boating school, he finds Gary riding his unicycle. SpongeBob rides off on it, with Gary atop his head, saying "Let's go surprise someone at the hospital!".
  • "Pizza Delivery"
At the Krusty Krab, it is closing time, Mr. Krabs receives a phone call ordering a pizza. Despite the fact that the Krusty Krab neither serves pizza nor makes deliveries, Mr. Krabs creates a pizza from Krabby Patties and has Squidward and SpongeBob deliver it, much to Squidward's dismay.
Outside, Squidward tells SpongeBob to start their boat. However, SpongeBob notes he is still in boating school, but Squidward (being lazy) tells SpongeBob it was just around the corner. SpongeBob nervously begins "backing up", exhausting the entire gas tank, leaving them stuck in the middle of nowhere. Squidward kicks the boat in anger, and it instantly jump-starts and drives away without them. SpongeBob suggests they deliver the pizza on foot, and so they start walking. Along the way, SpongeBob sings a song about the Krusty Krab Pizza, and how it is the best pizza on the sea floor. When they see a truck, SpongeBob attempts to catch a ride by hitchhiking like the "pioneers", but fails and is almost hit by the truck. Soon after, they enter a sandstorm, where Squidward tries to take the pizza from SpongeBob. While they struggle, the winds carry them into a whirl-pool, which spits them out, sending them flying into the distance. When they land, the road is nowhere in sight, and Squidward concludes that they have become hopelessly lost. SpongeBob sees a moss-covered rock, and says that, according to the pioneers, moss always points to civilization. However, Squidward insists on going in the opposite direction, and SpongeBob follows. The screen then pans away to reveal that the moss indeed pointed towards the city.
Eventually, duo collapse on the ground, tired and hungry. SpongeBob comments that the pioneers would eat coral in times of hardship, Squidward tries to eat it, and when he finds it inedible, he tries the take the pizza from SpongeBob again, this time trying to tempt him into eating it. However, SpongeBob realizes what he is trying to do, and just as Squidward is about to resort to violence, SpongeBob sees a rock ( or a boulder) and proclaims that they are saved, explaining that the pioneers "used to ride these babies for miles."
Squidward, of course, scoffs at the ludicrous idea of driving a rock, but when SpongeBob is able to successfully do so, he begins to follow him. Soon they arrive at the customer's house, and SpongeBob walks up eagerly to the door to give him his meal. The customer, who turns out to be Tom is at first glad to get his pizza. However, Tom then gets unnecessarily mad with SpongeBob because the latter had supposedly forgotten the Diet Dr. Kelp soda. Tom insists he ordered with the pizza (Possibly because Mr. Krabs hung up the phone before Tom got the chance to fully finish his order, because he was too anxious too get paid) SpongeBob of course tries to explain that there had been no drink included in the order but Tom is far from understanding, and as a result of SpongeBob's "forgetting" he rudely refuses to pay for the pizza and slams the door shut. SpongeBob is devastated by this, and falls to the ground, crying. Feeling bad for SpongeBob and angered that Tom made SpongeBob cry (or perhaps that not wanting the pizza meant that he and SpongeBob had hiked all the way across the desert for Nothing!), Squidward marches to the door and shoves the pizza into Tom's face, after yelling, "Well, this one's on the house!" After the confrontation, the two drive back to work, which ironically is only a few yards away. Squidward, realizing that their journey was entirely unnecessary, Squidward gripes and says "Work?"
  • "Home Sweet Pineapple"
A crowd of hungry nematodes arrive in Bikini Bottom in the middle of the night. They plow through a variety of items, even devouring a boat with the driver still in it. Eventually, they decide that they are thirsty, and begin to drink the juice out of SpongeBob's pineapple house, causing it and everything inside (excluding SpongeBob and Gary) to shrink into nothing.
At first, SpongeBob and Patrick try to build a new house, but they end up building a very small one that breaks apart when SpongeBob tries to fit inside of it. Patrick then allows SpongeBob to share his rock, but during the night, Patrick pulls the rock, which they use as a "blanket" over himself, leaving SpongeBob with nothing to sleep under, and then attacks while sleepwalking, imagining him as a spider. SpongeBob then leaves and goes to Squidward's house, asking if he can stay. Squidward accepts, but only because he's semi-conscious, and when he realizes what he's done, he kicks him out.
The next day, SpongeBob and Gary pack their bags, ready to move back to his parents' house. He finds a small pebble (the only thing left when the nematodes ate/drank his house) in his pocket, and buries it where his house used to be. He sheds a tear on it, and he walks away. However, this pebble is actually a seed, and his tear causes his house to grow back. The house is placed back where it was, crushing a dancing Squidward, and SpongeBob, his parents and Patrick go in to celebrate.
  • "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy"

Whilst pestering Squidward, SpongeBob and Patrick learn that their heroes, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, are in fact living in the Shady Shoals underwater retirement home, and they try to bring the two out of retirement, much to the annoyance of the geriatric Bikini Bottom superheroes who only want their TV fixed. SpongeBob and Patrick go through all kinds of hilarious antics to reunite their superhero pals and eventually succeed, thereby creating Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's new show: The New Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.
When Mermaid Man sits down, a comic book bubble appears and dramatizes the word "SIT!!". This is an obvious pun on the old Batman Series. The phone gets broken, and when Mermaid Man hangs up the phone, the bubble appears again and says "HANG UP!". Will our heroes ever get their phone fixed? Tune in next week and find out. And when SpongeBob winks, a yellow bubble comes up and says "WINK!!!!" The ironic thing about this is that in most comic books, the dramatization of simple words usually comes in on action fighting scenes, but in this SpongeBob episode, it exaggerates the word dramatization.I dont give a fuck about.
  • "Pickles"

It is an average day at the Krusty Krab, until a man named Bubble Bass comes along and makes an order. SpongeBob quickly serves him, but he complains about there being no pickles on the patty, much to SpongeBob's horror. Mr. Krabs takes it out of his pay because Bubble Bass reads the microscopic print below the menu that says "Money Back Guarantee" on it. SpongeBob loses his confidence (and his mind), and cannot remember how to do anything. Mr. Krabs tells him to go home and get some rest. He has Squidward take over the grill, which leads to disaster, with Squidward burning all the food and driving away customers.
Mr. Krabs is worried about losing money, so he goes to SpongeBob's house, where everything is mixed up (such as eggs being nailed to the walls). The music and Spongebob's speech are both mixed up too. Mr. Krabs explains to SpongeBob that if he remembers how to make a Krabby Patty, he will be back in order. It takes days, but SpongeBob eventually learns how to make a Krabby Patty properly again. He returns to the Krusty Krab, where Bubble Bass confronts him again. SpongeBob serves him his meal confidently, but Bubble Bass announces again that there are no pickles. However, SpongeBob reveals that Bubble Bass has been hiding the pickles under his tongue the whole time, as well as one woman's car keys. Bubble Bass runs away, and everyone cheers at SpongeBob's return.
  • "Hall Monitor"

At Mrs. Puff's Boating School, it is time to select the hall monitor for the day. Mrs. Puff realizes that SpongeBob is the only one who has yet to serve as hall monitor, and after desperately attempting to find another candidate, she is forced to give hall monitor duties to SpongeBob. After being elected Boating School Hall Monitor, SpongeBob gives a very long speech, which ends up lasting the entire day, and his entire time as hall monitor. Out of sympathy, Mrs. Puff allows SpongeBob to at least wear his uniform until the next day.
However, SpongeBob goes above and beyond the call of duty, and decides to become the hall monitor of the city, with disastrous results. His activities include giving directions to traffic, resulting in a massive pile-up, and attacking a couple in the guise of the "Open Window Maniac", with the intention of showing them the dangers of leaving a house window open. Later, SpongeBob finds Patrick eating a strawberry ice cream, which drips onto the ground, and labels him as a criminal. When a front page newspaper headline alerts SpongeBob about a maniac causing trouble around town, he lets Patrick turn over a new leaf as a deputy. They end up getting ice cream twice (Patrick's idea of a scandal), and then decide to split up to find the maniac, communicating using walkie-talkies. Two policemen ask Patrick if he's seen the maniac, and show him a picture of SpongeBob, which he at first mistakes for the actual maniac, but fails to recognize as SpongeBob. Soon, night suddenly falls and Patrick gets frightened. He sees SpongeBob in the distance across the street, who he recognizes as the maniac but not as SpongeBob. He alerts SpongeBob to this through his walkie-talkie, and SpongeBob attempts to escape the maniac. Everywhere he goes, Patrick tells him the maniac is there, making SpongeBob believe that the maniac is following him. Eventually, SpongeBob sees a wanted poster for himself and realizes that he is the maniac. The police arrive to arrest SpongeBob, and Mrs. Puff appears to explain the situation to them, saying that SpongeBob is her responsibility. The police interpret this as taking responsibility for the crimes, and Mrs. Puff is arrested.
  • "Jellyfish Jam"

A jellyfish insists on following SpongeBob home after a day out at Jellyfish Fields, so SpongeBob decides on keeping it as a pet. Squidward warns SpongeBob that jellyfish are wild animals and should not be domesticated, but SpongeBob ignores him. At home, SpongeBob dances with the jellyfish to loud techno rave music, which annoys Squidward to no end. After 12 hours of nonstop partying, SpongeBob finally decides to go to bed, but the Jellyfish does not want to stop. SpongeBob eventually forces it to go to bed by tying a leash around it, but during the night, while SpongeBob sleeps, the jellyfish escapes and brings lots of its friends into SpongeBob's house.
The next morning, SpongeBob wakes up to find his living room filled with hundreds of dancing jellyfish. He attempts to make them leave, but to no avail. Squidward, annoyed by this, decides that "two can play at this", and starts loudly playing his clarinet, angering the jellyfish, who start destroying SpongeBob's house. SpongeBob asks Squidward to play his clarinet a little "better", and Squidward responds by intentionally playing even worse and much louder. This prompts the jellyfish to go to his house and sting him before returning to SpongeBob's house. A sting-covered Squidward says to SpongeBob "Everybody's a critic. You won't be hearing from me anymore." and gives him his clarinet. The jellyfish quickly take it from SpongeBob, break it in half and burn it.
This further angers SpongeBob, who attempts to remove the stereo system, destroying it in the process, and the angered jellyfish begin stinging him. SpongeBob and Gary go up to the roof of the house, but the swarm follows them outside and surrounds them. However, Gary begins clicking his eyes together, producing a sound that calms the Jellyfish. SpongeBob tells Gary to keep doing this, and puts him on his head. SpongeBob walks downstairs and out the front door, with the Jellyfish following him. As he leads them back to Jellyfish Fields, more sounds join Gary's clicking, eventually becoming a full-fledged song. The French Narrator says "Today, SpongeBob has learned one of the sea's harshest lessons: Wild animals can throw very wild parties." In the last scene, the severely stung Squidward is shown getting into a bathtub, and the narrator says "Ooh...I felt that." as the episode ends.
  • "Sandy's Rocket"

SpongeBob visits Sandy's treedome, and sees that Sandy had built a rocket ship. Sandy explains to him that she is going to the moon, and SpongeBob begs her to take him with her. Although she insists that he cannot come, SpongeBob's begging ultimately convinces her to let him come.
That night, Patrick comes to SpongeBob's house and gives him some "Alien Repellent", which they sneak into Sandy's treedome to spray on the windows. Even though they agree to only spray the windows, Patrick inadvertently enters the rocket, and SpongeBob follows. After playing with the ship's various features, SpongeBob accidentally starts up the rocket, which loops over the moon and comes back to Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob and Patrick, convinced that they're on the Moon, think that the aliens are projecting their memories onto the environment to trick them. They begin catching everyone with Sandy's net guns (intended for harvesting moon rocks), believing they're aliens. Eventually, after capturing everyone in Bikini Bottom, including Sandy, who attempts to explain the truth to them, SpongeBob is convinced that Patrick is an alien. Patrick attempts to shoot him before he has a chance to capture him, but ends up shooting and capturing himself. SpongeBob starts the rocket again to return home, and crashes on the moon. SpongeBob looks out the window and realizes mistake. All the captured fish, who are being stored in the cargo hold of the ship, say "SpongeBob, we aliens would like a word with you." as the episode ends.
  • "Squeaky Boots"
For Pearl's birthday, Mr. Krabs selfishly gives her a pair of fishing boots that only cost $2. After Pearl doesn't accept the gift, Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that the boots are special, and only worn by the best official fry cooks in the world. SpongeBob, excited, exchanges his paycheck for them, and starts wearing them all day and night. The squeak annoys Squidward so much that he goes on vacation, and Mr. Krabs has to fill in for him. After a sleepless night because of a squeaking window, Mr. Krabs can't stand the squeak of SpongeBob's boots anymore. At his wit's end, he steals the boots and buries them underneath the Krusty Krab. However, he feels guilty and starts going crazy, believing that he hears nothing but the constant squeaking of the boots (all text he sees is even replaced by the word "squeak"). He unburies the boots, shrinks them and eats them in a bout of insanity. He thinks he finally has peace and quiet and goes on vacation with Pearl, until he hiccups, making the boots (inside his body) squeak.

  • "Nature Pants"

At work, SpongeBob daydreams of living with the jellyfish. He accidentally starts a fire, and a fireman runs in and turns on the hose. SpongeBob is in the way, thus fills up with water and falls on the fire, putting it out. Mr. Krabs asks SpongeBob why he was not concentrating, and SpongeBob explains that he wishes to live in the wild. He moves to Jellyfish Fields, and gives Patrick mayonnaise, old phone books, and his special jellyfishing net, "Ol' Reliable". He even takes off all his clothes, except his shoes.
SpongeBob tries to fit in with the jellyfish, but just can't get the hang of it. A crazed and heartbroken Patrick tries to catch him with Ol' Reliable while jellyfishing, but fails when SpongeBob jumps into the jellyfish hive, where he takes to eating the jelly inside. Upon the swarm's return, SpongeBob greets them in a friendly manner, but is then repeatedly stung and chased into a cave by them.
Disheartened, but not giving up yet, SpongeBob tries to sleep in a cave, using a fern as a blanket, but ultimately ends up getting covered in poison sea urchins (apparently the underwater equivalent of mosquitoes, but do not "fly"). Finally deciding that the wild isn't as good as he thought, SpongeBob returns to Bikini Bottom and, after seeing Sandy's treedome and the Krusty Krab, realizes his mistake; he had a great life and friends, and gave it all up. Upon his return to the pineapple, he is greeted with a massive "Welcome Home" party, the others apparently having been expecting him. All is forgiven, SpongeBob puts his clothes back on, and everyone group-hugs (Squidward is forced to). However, the poison sea urchin bacteria spreads, and everyone except SpongeBob becomes itchy.
  • "Opposite Day"

Squidward is annoyed by SpongeBob and Patrick come into his house to have a birthday party, and calls Patty Rechid from "Bikini Bottom Realty" to arrange for his house to be sold, so that he may move out of Bikini Bottom. He is warned that, if his home is surrounded by bad neighbors, the house may not be sold. Squidward is convinced that SpongeBob and Patrick may ruin his chances of selling his house.
Squidward tells SpongeBob that it is "Opposite Day", and that everyone must act opposite to how they usually act. SpongeBob believes him, and informs Patrick, who forces himself to stop exhaling, until SpongeBob exclaims, "not that opposite!" A montage of the two doing "opposite" things, such as talking backwards and acting as Gary's pets, is then shown.
Squidward's plot soon begins to backfire on him. SpongeBob "fixes" (damages) his house, and a shocked Squidward cleans the debris with a buldozer. SpongeBob concludes that Squidward is acting like him, and he must therefore act like Squidward. While Squidward is still fixing SpongeBob' house, Patty arrives, and SpongeBob and Patrick both pretend to be Squidward, giving her a tour of the house, while describing it negatively and doing the opposite of what she asks. When Squidward realizes what is going on, he rushes to his house and attempts to explain the situation to Patty, who, upon hearing that he is "Squidward" as well, concludes that they are intentionally messing with her and leaves. A furious Squidward shows SpongeBob and Patrick how much he "hates" (Squidward was not being sarcastic, although SpongeBob and Patrick did) them by attempting to run them over with a bulldozer.
  • "Culture Shock"

Business is slow at the Krusty Krab. After a customer arrives to get change for a dollar, with unfortunate results, Mr Krabs calls SpongeBob and Squidward into his office, and tells him that profits are down and that they need a gimmick to bring in customers. Squidward suggests that the Krusty Krab hold a talent show, intending to showcase his talent, and Mr. Krabs agrees.
SpongeBob is eager to participate in the show after practicing a tap-dancing routine with Hippopotamus bubble, but Squidward tells him that he has no talent and refuses to let him go on. When the night of the show arrives, it is a major success, attracting a full house of customers. Acts include Pearl, who performs a cheerleading routine, and whose massive weight causes the floor to shake whenever she jumps, Plankton who performs a magic trick which is actually an attempt to steal a Krabby Patty, and Gary, who recites a poem that, to the viewer, consists entirely of indiscernible meowing, among others. Backstage, SpongeBob begs Squidward to be in the show, and Squidward gives him the duty of mopping up after the show, which he accepts enthusiastically.
The grand finale of the show is Squidward's act, which the audience hates. They begin throwing tomatoes from the free salad bar at him, and Mr. Krabs, seeing opportunity in this, puts a price on the salad bar ($1.00 for each tomato), which the customers willingly pay as they continue to pelt Squidward with tomatoes. Eventually, Squidward furiously leaves the stage, and tells SpongeBob that the show is over. SpongeBob goes onstage and begins mopping up the mess, which the audience enjoys and starts cheering. Squidward, thinking they are cheering for him, goes back onstage, but is ignored. He soon realizes that the audience is cheering for SpongeBob, and tries to mimic him, but they invariably cheer for SpongeBob and ignore Squidward. He eventually gives up and goes backstage as SpongeBob is showered with applause. Mr. Krabs approaches Squidward in a wheelbarrow of money from the salad bar, and tells him that he will need another wheelbarrow for next week's show.
  • "F.U.N"
Things are going well at the Krusty Krab, until suddenly an alarm blares, signalling an attempt by Plankton to steal a Krabby Patty. Plankton, controlling the patty, escapes outside with it by making a hole in the wall with a laser. SpongeBob heroically chases after it. After a long chase, SpongeBob finally recovers the Krabby Patty, and is congratulated by the townsfolk, while Plankton walks away sadly. SpongeBob, feeling sorry for Plankton, decides to befriend him. SpongeBob invites Plankton to jellyfish with him, and, realizing he can take advantage of SpongeBob, Plankton goes. Once there, Plankton remains fixated on evil and destruction, and SpongeBob tries to explain fun by singing The F.U.N. song. Eventually, Plankton starts singing the song as well, and seems to finally be having fun. He seems to forget about stealing the formula, and begins to develop a genuine sense of friendship. When Mr. Krabs sees this, he refuses to believe that Plankton has changed and sets up a trap for them when they come to the Krusty Krab together the next day. He attempts to tempt Plankton with a Krabby Patty, but he seems not to take the bait. After SpongeBob and Plankton leave to go to the movies, Mr. Krabs begins to believe that Plankton really has gone straight, until he realizes that he actually did take the patty. At the cinema together, Mr. Krabs appears in front of the projector and shouts "reach into his pocket now and take what he's got!". SpongeBob reaches into Plankton's pocket and finds a Krabby Patty (the other people simply steal from their neighbor's pocket and leave the theater). SpongeBob realizes that Plankton used him to get a Krabby Patty, and Plankton attempts to explain that he realizes now that he only ever wanted friendship, before admitting to everything and running off with the patty. However, he runs directly through the movie screen into a solid concrete wall. Plankton is squashed, and Mr. Krabs flicks him off the wall onto Bubble Bass' hand, who mistakes Plankton for a jellybean and chases him around his hand. Spongebob then knows never to trust plankton again and sounds the code red light then Mr. Krabs gets rid of him.

  • "MuscleBob BuffPants"
When SpongeBob realizes that he is extremely weak, he asks Sandy to help him workout. However, Sandy's methods prove far too intense for him, and he runs back home. At home, he sees an ad on TV for a product called "Anchor Arms", which are inflatable muscles. SpongeBob purchases Anchor Arms, and is at the Goo Lagoon bar showing off his (fake) muscles when Sandy sees him, and enrolls him in the Anchor Toss Competition. where each contestant must throw an anchor the farthest they can. SpongeBob cannot even lift the anchor, and blows up his Anchor Arms so much that they explode, revealing him as a fraud. The next scene shows SpongeBob changing TV channels with a remote in Sandy's treedome as an exercise, which he finds exhausting.

  • "Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost"
Squidward is proud of having just finished his wax sculpture of himself and declares he has "conquered all artistic medium". But then, he is annoyed by SpongeBob and Patrick's unknown game. Squidward then tells them both to play frisbee. While he goes to take a bath, SpongeBob and Patrick throw a shell with which they are playing frisbee into Squidward's house, and it hits the sculpture. SpongeBob and Patrick think they've injured Squidward, and after several humorous attempts to "resuscitate" him, they believe that Squidward is dead. Squidward, fresh from his pampered bath, dramatically emerges in a rush of steam from the warm bathroom, wearing talcum powder and a white bathrobe and towel. SpongeBob and Patrick believe they are seeing Squidward's ghost and, hoping to avoid any hauntings or punishments, place themselves as Squidward's willing servants. Squidward gleefully takes advantage of the situation, having them serve and pamper him, do chores, and simply entertain him. Eventually, SpongeBob and Patrick, while entering a "messy" room, come across a comic book inspired by the story of the Flying Dutchman (who haunted the seas because his body was used as a window display in a clothing store), and decide that since Squidward is a vengeful spirit, he needs to be put to rest. Thus, SpongeBob and Patrick try to give him a proper burial as well as a funeral. Squidward eventually admits his charade, but SpongeBob and Patrick believe that Squidward is simply in denial about his death. SpongeBob blows a giant bubble that engulfs Squidward and sends him floating up to "the great beyond".
